Van Der Linde’s Vision – A Graphics Overhaul V1.4

Van Der Linde's Vision - A Graphics Overhaul

A mod that completely overhauls the visual style of the game to look and feel more vibrant and realistic. (READ DESCRIPTION)

This unique visual mod changes a majority of the visual aspects of this game. After nearly 3 months of studying photography and a trip to the mountains I’ve tried my hardest to make this visual mod look as realistic as possible while not making the game look boring or unappealing. First things first, Sunsets/rises now have a completely different look to match real life while also not looking boring. Clouds for basically all weathers were heavily changed and improved, now the shapes and sizes of the clouds depend on their location, clouds in the swamps/grizzlies are different than the clouds in the desert/plains. Next, nights have been completely overhauled to look more realistic but also more dramatic, night time has a blue tint and less indirect light, making lanterns actually useful at night. Stars have also been completely changed, studying photography I’ve gotten the stars to actually represent the milky way and look way more vibrant. Vignette and color correction has been removed for all weathers for a more natural look. Reflections have also been redone to look more clean and realistic. Lighting and shadows have been improved as well. Lots of miscellaneous like weather particles, rain puddles, sun twilight have also been tweaked.

-A more vanilla-friendly version is planned
-Custom weathers will be added later on (wind, different variations for fog and cloud weathers, etc.)
-I strongly recommend matching/tweaking your in-game settings to be similar to the .txt file for the best
-Any suggestions can go in the “Posts” tab, Bugs/Glitches can be posted in the “Bugs” tab
-Guarma weathers are NOT fully finished, if your save file is in Guarma your game will most likely look weird.
-All mission weathers were edited to match my style and fit the vibe of this visual mod
-The visualsettings.dat IS merged with Persistent and Natural Dirt, but is incompatible with any other mod that edits this same file.
-A Dynamic Seasons merge will be released soon.

Recommended mods:
Sir Joseph’s Special – A Gentleman’s Reshade (ONLY RESHADE I RECOMMEND, AS IT ONLY MAKES SUBTLE CHANGES, ANY OTHER RESHADES THAT MAKE LIGHTING/SATURATION CHANGES ARE NOT RECOMMENDED)
Stash That Lantern (I recommend using this mod so you can keep your lantern on you at night time at all times)
Realistic Gun Metals (Silver and Iron metal shine and reflect way more with this installed)
Any timescale mod, (I believe the nights and days are way too short in-game)
Any of beniguess1899’s mods, all of his map mods add better variety and colors throughout the map.

Requires:
LML – load in the mod.
