Pacific is one of the more notable former Canadian truck manufacturers, having a worldwide reputation for robust trucks in logging, oilfield, and a number of other demanding applications. The model P-500F comes from an interesting period in Pacific’s history where they were owned by International Harvester. It was made from about 1974 to 1981. A keen eye will notice that the cab on this model is shared with IH’s Paystar conventionals of the time.
Some of the things that made the P-500 series remarkable in the on/off-highway market were robust construction, serviceability and exceptional ground clearance. While it’s quite a climb into the cab, the view is impressively commanding and even the most basic-spec Pacific trucks had interior trim rivaling other manufacturers’ premium offerings. This mod hopes to capture some of that majesty.
