Adds a low chance of finding Traveling (Ambient) Lawman on Horseback in Towns/Outskirts and in the Wilderness.
Created this mod for my personal usage as it bothers me that outside of towns, scripted events and law dispatch, the player doesn’t see traveling Lawman in the map (the point of the mod is to at least give some immersion that the Law is visible outside towns and just for simplicity sake I’ve added the Pinkerton’s too, they probably are doing their jobs tracking some outlaws right?).
This mod simply adds the chance of seeing Lawman and Pinkerton Riders in Towns/Wilderness (they are clearly distinguished as either Lawman or Pinkerton). Not all locations in the game have been added of Ambient Lawman Riders for lore reasons (see added locations below). Since they are Ambient Pedestrians, in towns they might stop and hitch their horse and wander around town scenario points.

Download and Extract the zip file to your RDR2/lml Directory (…/Red Dead Redemption 2/lml)

Note> The mod utilizes popgroups.ymt and popcycle.dat so it is straight-up not compatible with mods that uses the same file. Do a search in your lml folder for the files to see if there are any mods that are already using them before attempting to install this mod.

Sorry, for now no plans to merge this with Ambient Gang as I can see some difficulty in balancing the percentages of the Outlaws appearing versus Lawman/Pinkerton and the default Ped Riders themselves. Also not really sure on the impact of the relationship between Lawman and Outlaws in the said mod (there might be shootouts or no shootouts at all if they meet, depending on one’s preference it can probably break immersion).

GRIZZLIES EAST – very low chance
HEARTLANDS – very low chance
ROANOKE VALLEY – very low chance
SCARLET MEADOWS – very low chance
TALL TREES – very low chance
spawn rate probability: 15% in Towns, 10% in Outskirts of Towns, 5-10% in Wilderness but removed the possibility of consecutive time-slots, also made it 0% during night time in the Wilderness
This utilizes the games native ped spawn system hence the chances of seeing the Lawman/Pinkerton Rider are at random and at the hands of the engine, no additional spawns and spawn points added in the locations.
