Simply Better Fauna

Enhances the planets by allowing larger quantities of Fauna to spawn at any given time, makes everything feel much more alive, and also makes completion of each planet a breeze.

Back in late 2017 I created a mod under the same name as this one, simply better fauna, kept it updated for a couple months, but eventually stopped once the updates that broke it became too frequent, and eventually removed it from the nexus.

Now it is back in full swing, but since it’s creation there has been many copies of it surfacing, some even better than what I had created a few years back, but they still aren’t perfect, and most of them are not being kept alive by their creators, and I wish to change that.

As by the brief description, the premiss of the mod is to make exploration of each planet swifter and more enjoyable, gone are the days of looking for hours after a creature that simply doesn’t want to spawn, even when you’re looking in the right place

Frustrating and silly are two words that comes to mind when describing the vanilla state of the fauna system in this game, there seems to be no structure, and the rarity of each creature seems almost random and without much thought behind it, this mod overall makes no creature rarer than the other on paper, but you wont always get every creature handed to you either, a little bit of exploration might be necessary on the current version, but you need to scan all the trees and rocks too, and by the time you’ve done that, I am certain you’ll have encountered every creature.

The mod is still in it’s early stages, I have tested a few different versions and landed on this one as my favorite overall, but changes and feedback are very much welcome, if you encounter something you think should be altered for a better experience, then do give me a reply.

Mod is not compatible with any mod that also modifies files within METADATA\SIMULATION\ECOSYSTEM\ROLEDESCRIPTIONTABLES
