Increases land and air creature spawn distance value to 6
UPDATE:
It seems the air creatures weren’t spawning at all in most situations due to these changes, so I’ve removed them from the mod.
Increases land and air creature render/spawn distance value by 6 (which I believe is a multiplier, according to TinFoil and pacmagic on their mod descriptions, and I am using the same settings).
This is further than DUD’s, which only double the spawn distance. The other two available creature-distance increasing mods that work with Beyond also mess with the creature spawn rates and other changes. This is for those that only want the render distance to be increased.
I left out underwater because it already seems that creatures there spawn further than the clarity of the water, so increasing it wouldn’t serve any visual purpose, and thus would serve no purpose to the philosophy of the mod. Do note, however, that it does lead to making creature discovery easier, because more spawn at once. I am tempted to look into adjusting the spawn rates to counteract this, if possible, and if so, will update this mod with an alternative in future.
Seems to lead to little to no reduction in FPS or general performance. Might cause issues for slower gaming rigs, perhaps especially ones with low VRAM, although I cannot know for certain.
Note, after experimentation, I think the way this works is it determines how far you need to go before creatures despawn. They seem to still spawn at the same distance. So the use of this mod is for when you are travelling in a certain direction, and then you look back and you can see creatures miles away, although in front, you won’t notice any change. Could be wrong, but still makes the mod worth it imo.
