HeartPlains V2.0 Lods Update

Completely dries out the Heartlands inspired by how it appeared in Beta/earlier versions of Red Dead Redemption 2

Welcome to the Heartplains of New Hanover! This once green lush farmland has become ideal grazing land for many ranches ever since it fell into this intense dry spell. From Flatneck Station to Emerald Ranch is bone dry, and this can be seen from the furthest traversable terrain imaginable! Even the Heartland’s most prominent town Valentine has become dry near the outskirts, though the wet mud keeps the center green and lush.

The canyon along the New Hanover’s western border has now become a beautiful mix of dry and green grasses, reminiscent of this transitional area between the Rockies and the Great Plains: Rocky Mountain Foothill Woodland-Steppe Transition

Cumberland forest has also been hit with quite a dry spell of its own in the county’s western side, the Ponderosa pine forest blanketed with dry grass and dead bushes, looking like some of these forests here.

This mod aims to give justice to America’s Great Plains which in real life stretch from Canada to Mexico. we created a real sense of scale that it’s namesake county in game fails to achieve, almost doubling the size of the Plains in West Elizabeth.

After a year of hard work from our dedicated mod team we’re very happy to release the first step of this project which was fixing our less then stellar first release. This was no small task and included redoing every grass texture from before, creating hundreds of slods [far off images of the terrain] removed green weeds for dead ones, adjusting bush density and smoothing out our transitions into neighboring districts
