Patrick just wanted to share with you his RDR 2 Reshade preset which you can easily tweak to your taste 😉
Naturally you have to install the Reshade first, and then after downloading my preset put it into the main Folder of RDR2
This preset aims for more contrast and some better (?) colourgrading. Check the screenshots if you like it, there’s plenty of them.
I used:
1. Levelsplus – this one is for grading and brightness control. I prefer to play a little darker but if you don’t like it and find it too dark, you can go down by “Input Black point in these 3 blanks or make it brighter just by ingame brightness settings but max. up to te visibility of the Rockstar’s logo or somewhere in between.
Dislaimer: i play with the lowest ingame brightness setting and so you can see it on screenshots.
Also if you dont like the grading you can change the ratio between these 3 blanks, in my preset some places like Blackwater or New Austin seem a little too red but you can tweak it as you like – note: do not go over 25 in one or over 15 in all three blanks cause it will be way too dark
2. Curves – this one is a fast tweak to contrast if you already like the colourgrading ratio
3. Colourfulness – self explanatory, just to make it a little more alive, a very slight change
4. DeepHaze was originaly for some fog but it’s quite buggy, it has a blur though which doesn’t not interfere that much with the UI, it’s just less anoying than some “Dofs” etc. Blur makes a contrast between in sharpness – because the horizon is blurred and less sharp, the nearest surrounding becomes a littler sharper -> in comparison – it’s subconcious but makes already a difference
You can tweak the blur by “Effect Strength”
