Capeless Starborn Armor – No Potato Sack and Cleaner Metal V2.0

Capeless Starborn Armor - No Potato Sack and Cleaner Metal V2.0

Nothing says “I have transcended Space and Time” like wearing a potato sack, amirite? Let’s fix that.

I can’t stand the potato sack, so I removed it.

Yes, this includes all versions, male AND female.

While I was at it, I did some cleanup on the lumpy plastic textures and made them more metallic and smoother.

I also removed the weird scrapes and gouges from all the faceplates (was a Terrormorph chewing on my head between universes…?)

Lastly, I added some color variation where possible, mostly things like turning the mud browns into metallic coppers and bronzes, with a few additions.

Turns out the potato sack was hiding the fact that most of the 10 armors are… the same. WAH wah. I mean literally the same, not copies, they all point to the same models and texture files and share them -_- so it’s impossible to make more than minor variations right now, especially once you remove the “cape.”

Once we’re able to make complete changes, I plan on making each armor completely unique. Until then, if you’re as tired of the potato sack as I am, enjoy =)

MANUAL INSTALLATION

Drop the entire “Data” folder in the zip into Documents\My Games\Starfield
And say YES, you want to merge it with anything already there (it won’t destroy anything, just adds it).

IN YOUR My Games\Starfield\StarfieldCustom.ini FILE (Whether you installed with Vortex, MO2, Manually, or something else):

At the end of the file, add this if you don’t already have it:

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Yes that’s nothing after the final equals sign, make sure it looks just like that ^ with no spaces in each line.
