Adds icons and labels for the current weapons ammo type to the HUD and Favorites menu (Includes new Trackers Alliance weapons)
Since the Trackers Alliance update I noticed that the previous mod (check Credits below) I was using needed to be updated to support the new weapons. I waited for a while for that one to update but it looks like it was abandoned so I decided to learn how to do UI mods so I could make my own version.
NOTE: This is built on the v1.13.61 (REV-8 Update) UI files, but it is backwards compatible to previous versions as well.
I have set the files to be 60fps but it won’t really mean anything since the files don’t contain any animations and are just static image references which get loaded by the main HUD UI file. I know I saw others ask for this on other mods which modify the same files so I figured I would address it directly.
I have also created my own icons for each ammo type from scratch using Illustrator, they were inspired by other icons I have seen but no other assets were used at all (see Icon Reference below/in gallery). I am also providing these to the community as standard vector formats in an optional download, please refer to the “Icons Usage” section below for more details.
Versions and Options
There are 2 different versions and 2 different install options all using a FOMOD installer.
Versions:
Short Labels: These are shortened versions of each ammo type name (see Icon Reference below/in gallery)
Long Labels: These are the full name of each ammo type (see Icon Reference below/in gallery)
Install Options:
Loose Files: Basically your standard UI mod install where it replaces the loose files in Data\Interface (see Compatibility below)
Plugin: This consists of a Small Master ESM with zero entries and BA2 Archive (see Compatibility below)
Compatibility
Details on the compatibility of each install option
Loose Files
The following files are included in this mod and will conflict with any mod that also includes them
Data\Interface\weaponicons.gfx
Data\Interface\weaponicons.swf
If you have another mod which modifies these and want this mods ammo icons and labels then make sure to have this mod is deployed after the other mods
Plugin (ESM)
This will conflict if you have other mods that deliver the above loose files at the same time, loose files will always win when the game is launched, so if you want this mods icons and labels you may have to manually remove the above files from any other mod that includes them.
Load Order Note: Since other mods can also include UI files in BA2 archives, it would be best to keep “PXC_AmmoHud.esm” at the bottom of your plugins.txt (loaded last), this will ensure that this mods files are used over any other plugins
