Improves MacFarlanes ranch to fit the aesthetic of 1907, getting rid of plotholes and overall improving the look of the area.
RDR2 was left with an unfinished, mostly 1899 version of the RDR1 map for Epilogue exploration in 1907. This bothered me, so I fixed up one of my favorite locations, MacFarlanes ranch. HUGE thanks to GuiCORLEONEx794 for the barn, and thanks to SomeClassyToast for furnishing the stockade with props.
Requires Rampage Trainer
I heavily recommend pairing this with Project New Austin 1907
(Project New Austin uses the vegetationmodifier.meta file, which conflicts with the ranch. If you don’t delete the Project NA one, there’s a good chance you will have grass covering important areas on the ranch)
INSTALLATION
It’s very important you follow these steps, as the mod WILL NOT work by simply dragging and dropping the files.
1. You must go to your graphics settings and use VulkanAPI for the custom models to load without crashing the game. I’m looking for a way around this.
2. Go to Red Dead Redemption 2 – RampageFiles – Lists and open ObjectList.txt.
3. Add these three models anywhere in the file:
mfr_barn_stables_01
mfr_stockade_jail_01
mfr_genstore_01
This will allow Rampage to load the custom models. Save and exit the file.
4. Rampage should autoload the buildings upon launch, but I’ve heard it straight up just doesn’t autoload for some people. If this happens to you, you can manually load the models in by opening Rampage Trainer, going to Spawner, Objects, Load / Save, and selecting MacFarlanes Ranch 1907. The buildings will now load in. Once I solve the issue with embedded textures, you’ll be able to have the buildings spawn in dynamically via ymap.
