This is a map mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 created by me piece by piece using the few assets in the game that are used to create buildings, I had to adapt to them to build the best I could.
The house has interiors, with three or four floors, and an emergency exit, the door to the house can be locked by pushing a piece of furniture next to the door so that other players in RedM can’t access it and gain time to escape.
The house is surrounded by a wall to keep other players out, although I never liked the way the wall looked.
The house also has a piece of furniture in the courtyard outside so that enemy players or whoever finds the house with the door locked can push it and access it through the window.
The mod is not finished because I lost my GPU and now I have a GPU that can’t run the game well, when I have time I’ll finish polishing it, but it’s quite advanced.
Flaws:
-The character when walking sometimes looks like he loses his balance, he doesn’t fall to the ground, but he walks as if he is going to lose his balance.
-Furniture is missing and some things need to be removed.
-NPCs don’t walk on assets, they stand still because they don’t have paths.
-If you tie an NPC on an asset there will be a visual bug where you will fall under it and then go back up.
-The drawing distance is very poor, the elements will appear when you are very close to the house, I think it has a solution but I could never solve it with map editor, the values were not saved in the xml.
-Some birds will end up crashing into the roof.
MOD INSTALLATION
You can load the ymap into de map game using various mods such as the following:
RAMPAGE TRAINER
LENNY’S MOD LOADER
In singleplayer I recommend to use LENNY’S MOD LOADER because it allows you to manage all the ymaps in the same folder, you put them in the folder and they are all automatically loaded inside the game map as extensions of this one, you go travelling around the map and you find all the ymaps you have put in the folder, you have to place them in the ymaps folder before starting the game.
There is a poolsize, if you have a lot of ymaps close to each other it could crash the game, and if you have low vram too, close I mean where the objects are loaded, if you move away and they are unloaded it shouldn’t affect it.
