4 Unique Locations for Starfield V1.4

INSTALLATION:
Place the esm. and ba2 file into the:
Starfield > Data folder

I’ve released this for beta testing. If I’ve made a mistake with objects placed please point it out to me so I can fix it. I’ve done extensive testing of this mod and I really enjoy creating locations in this game.

I initially created this to be an Ecliptic Storyline where you have the opportunity to join the Ecliptic Mercenaries. But the plot twists once the Ecliptic think you “know too much” about their sinister plans for the settled systems. Unfortunately the storyline is not completely hashed out yet, but I have a fairly good idea on how to proceed at this point. For now, this mod is just 4 unique locations where you can visit.

What have I done? Well, I’ve basically copy and pasted from various assets in the base game to create unique locations. Of course, I’ve added and subtracted from what I’ve copied to make something completely new. I will say this, even though I’ve copied and pasted, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time testing and making sure everything is just right. Its not as easy as it seems. The developers of this game did such a great job with world creation and I understand how much work they put in because the detail is truly amazing!

Location 1: Ecliptic Training Barracks – Located on Jaffa III (NPCs scale to the players level)
– This is a training base for the Ecliptic in a system where the Vulture’s Roost rests so I’m going to assume that this is an important star system for the Ecliptic. The base is fully populated with Ecliptic so be careful

Location 2: Raven’s Hallow – Located on Alpha Marae III-D (NPCs scale to the players level – not completely finished)
– This location is the Ecliptics secret weapons testing facility located in a system void of humans. They received an enormous amount of credits from an unknown source to develop new weapons. This is a sister facility to the base they built on Masada III, the interior schematics are similar but not completely the same. They are perfecting the Mechs from the colony wars and created grav-drive missiles that can reach anywhere in the settled systems. In addition, they’ve been researching particle weapons and are developing a Quantum Flux Cannon. Should they be stopped?

Location 3: UC Navy Research Installation – Located on Eridani II (NPCs scale to the players level)
– This is a specialized UC military base the UC uses to conduct its off-the-grid research facilitated by the UC Navy Research Corps. It is heavily guarded by UC marines and even if you have the highest merits with the UC military after completing the UC questline they will still shoot you on-site. There is a specialized prototype ship that makes frequent landings at this base for refueling and debriefing. This ship has the key to what the Ecliptics need as the last piece to their work. You wont be able to steal it yet without console commands. If you are inclined to steal the ship using console commands, you can use them to unlock the hatch to the ship when it lands. It has special experimental weapons on-board that are very powerful. It is an ID replica of the prototype ship in the CF questline that I have modified significantly.

Location 4: First Cavalry Stronghold – Located on Rasalhague II (NPCs scale to the players level)
– This was the Freestar Collective 1st Cavalries main bases of operations during the Colony Wars that was abandoned for a period of time but has since been revived by the 1st Cavalry Mercenaries. It is now one of their command centers and safe havens for smugglers and black-market traders. I may add a saloon for the 1st cav veterans and smugglers.

I build my mods using the Vanilla game so there shouldn’t be compatibility issues but if you notice something please reach out.

Extra Commentary

I’ve put a lot of love into these locations but please let me know honestly what you think. If you hate them please don’t hesitate to tell me as I love all forms of criticism. At this point, the locations have been created but I am still polishing them. I have further ideas for how to make them even more unique. I will start my work on creating the quests, scripts, and unique NPCs for the storyline as soon as I feel completely satisfied with the locations (I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to art). I am also considering using my own voice and my girlfriends for voice-acting for quest dialogue however I don’t quite know how to do this yet. I will most likely release the quest version of the mod in text first before playing around with audio files.

Furthermore if anyone is really good at scripting and creating quests in starfield, send me a DM. This is a big project of mine and if you like the locations I’ve created maybe we can work together as time permits. I still have a lot to learn.

I may create unique homes in the future as I would like a cozy Dr. Evil style place to call my home *pinky-finger towards mouth* (muhahahaha).
