This simple mod makes your clouds much darker at night.
Darker clouds at night are especially nice in combination with any mod that makes nights darker.
It contains two files:
_Darker_Night_Clouds.pak:
Changes the base color of night clouds to a darker blue. The base color of clouds at night will be much darker but they will still have the bright blue highlights.
_Darker_Night_Clouds_Dimmed_Ambient_Light.pak:
This reduces the brightness of ambient light cast on clouds. It applies to clouds both day and night, but the effect is only very apparent at night. It can be considered optional, but to achieve the effect shown in the screenshot, use this file too.
This mod is incompatible with any other mod that modifies GCSKYGLOBALS.GLOBALS.MBIN (for the main file) and GCENVIRONMENTGLOBALS.GLOBAL.MBIN (for the optional file), but I can make a combined mod at request.
Installing Darker Night Clouds:
1) Make sure that DISABLEMODS.TXT file in PCBANKS folder does not exist. If it exists, delete it or rename it
2) Create a folder named MODS in Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/No Man’s Sky/GAMEDATA/PCBANKS (if it already exists, skip this step)
3) copy/paste/drag included.pak file into the MODS folder
