Experience the true atmosphere of bad weather with TM Real Rain. This mod completely reworks the rain system in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to deliver a gritty, immersive, and authentic wet weather simulation.
Unlike standard rain mods that focus too much on “clean” glass effects, TM Real Rain aims for pure realism. It simulates the heavy, chaotic nature of real-world rain where water adheres naturally to the windshield, creating realistic distortion and blur that challenges your driving skills. Combined with reworked wheel spray physics, this mod offers a true-to-life atmosphere that feels grounded and intense.

Authentic Rain Behavior: Raindrops are denser, heavier, and behave naturally. They don’t just “slide off” instantly like magic; they interact with the glass using realistic physics, adhering and flowing based on wind resistance and vehicle speed.

Compatibility & Installation
Game Version: Fully tested and optimized for ETS2 1.58.
Load Order:
Place this mod ABOVE any other graphics, weather, or sound mods in your Mod Manager to ensure the rain effects work correctly.
Note: This mod replaces interior_glass_config.sii and particle files. It may conflict with other intense rain mods.
Installation:
Download the .scs file.
Move it to your mod folder: Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
Activate “TM Real Rain” in the in-game Mod Manager.
Recommended Settings (For Best Experience)
To get the best visual balance between realism and performance, we recommend the following in-game settings:
Rain Probability: Your preference (slider)
Launch Options (Optional for smoother performance): -mm_pool_size 16384 -mm_max_resource_size 100 (depend on your PC specs)
