This mod spreads asteroids over wide swaths of space, makes them significantly stronger, and completely revamps their loot tables to be more realistic. Mining asteroids now requires more time and effort, but can be much more lucrative for dedicated prospectors than vanilla.

Rare Asteroids now can occasionally drop Glowing Minerals, and yield larger amounts of Tritium in the form of Tritium Hyperclusters, which are also more valueable than the raw fuel. They also occasionally drop Crystal Shards. This is much more consistent with their crystalline appearance.
Common Asteroids, on the other hand, now yield substantial amounts of silicate powder, which is usually difficult to acquire large amounts of in permadeath, ferrite dust, and the occasional Geode, to represent the typical dusty-metal structure of asteroids (especially small ones) in real life.
These changes make rare metals like Gold and Platinum more challenging to obtain, which is more realistic and gives an actual purpose to exploring caves. Of course, it can still also be bought at a price premium.
– Commons still drop raw Tritium rather often, but Rare Asteroids are much more lucrative both for mining fuel and getting rare and valueable minerals such as
Herox, Grantine, rarely Iridesite, etc.
– During testing, Common asteroids also rarely dropped Glowing Minerals. This is due to using the same drop ID as the Anomaly Detectors, which are no longer
obtainable from asteroids.
