The steamboat is one of my favorite boats to use in RDR2. It’s fast, and best of all, it doesn’t require our dear Captain Morgan do any strenuous labor.
However, there’s one issue that has always bothered me with it – The incessant knocking sounds the engine makes!
Now, I get that’s just how the engine works to keep the boat moving forward. But, my goodness does that sound become unbearably annoying after a while.
This mod aims to resolve my small issue with it by muting the knocking sounds altogether.
BONUS USECASE
As a bonus, this mod also applies to the planes from the RDR2 Addon Vehicles. For some reason, the steamboat engine sound plays in the background when you’re flying them (likely due to the way that mod is created)
Now, Captain Morgan can soar through the Seas and Skies and enjoy the wonders of modern technology in peace and tranquility
Installation: Drag the “silent steamboats” folder into your lml folder
