periodically tap A (×) to sprint your horse on a pad. Yes, we all know about the cinematic camera, but it’s not the same.
You have to ride a lot on horse during story mode. In addition, as an owner of both Xbox/PS4 controllers, buttons on the first one are quite loud. So after dozens of experiments and compiled files, I managed to create my first mod.
As a side effect, this mod removes horse speed limits in towns and on bridges. The mod is incompatible with Remove horse speed limit (RHSL) by alfabravozapa. Please use either RHSL or this mod, but not both.
Installation
Install Script Hook RDR2 (copy ScriptHookRDR2.dll and dinput8.dll to RDR 2 folder);
Download this mod. Unzip and copy HorseSprint.asi to RDR 2 folder.
How to Use
Get on your horse;
Press sprint button on your pad a few times and hold it — your horse will keep sprinting as long as you hold the button. Just like using Shift on a keyboard.
Limitations
Works only in singleplayer, since mod requires Script Hook RDR2;
Doesn’t work for wagons/carts;
As a side effect, removes horse speed limits in towns and on bridges.
