The mod was made from scratch using vanilla files and not just a repackage of energidaan’s original. (But obviously inspired by it.)
It aims to fill a void for people who don’t quite want or need everything that is included in that version of OCU, therefore I think it will benefit the modding community as a standalone release.
ONLINE CONTENT UNLOCKER
LITE
You may or may not be aware that there is a lot of stuff being unlocked by Online Content Unlocker
These past months/year since the potential spawn/memory issues came to surface that may or may not affect your gameplay experience if you heavily (or less heavily) mod your game, a lot of players started to exhibit a more minimalist mindset when it comes to their mods.
At this point we cannot be certain that the extra MP assets/audio/animations/clothes/ cutscenes/ mp lobby/weapons/map changes/models etc. that OCU unlocks for other mods to benefit from do not have an adverse effect on a more heavily modded game, adding to potential instability. (OCU will not do any of this of course on it’s own but it is possible that if a player has a large modlist it may add to these issues.) These are only unconfirmed theories however, so no need to panic or abandon the original mod if it worked for you so far.
BUT:
I figured that if I would want a more light OCU variant, then other people might be interested as well.
So now You have a choice in the matter, want something more LITE?
Detailed description of the features and what is/is not compatible:
– ALL versions of the mod are fully compatible with these .asi mods currently:
Ability Cards - by bolmin
Smoking Complete- by Riyusso
Gun Tricks- by RampageDev
Other MP dependant animation mods will not work
Online Content Unlocker LITE is NOT COMPATIBLE with any mods that require online weapons, online cutscenes, online animations(save from the ones marked as compatible above), online props(exception is some of the frontier pursuits patch items as those were made compatible for the mod Ability cards), or vehicles(wagons).
Variants of the mod
Online Content Unlocker LITE
– Compatible with any mod that requires online peds ( such as cutscene characters or ped clothing, this includes player clothing as well)
– Compatible with any horse mods that require online horse coats (exception maybe Super Ultimate Horse mod, but that has it’s own version of OCU, not tested)
– Compatible with any mods that require online sounds for some reason(the usual case for this would be peds, MP characters)
– Compatible with any mods that require online animals such as the various online animal unlockers by PlayRedThenStayDead
Online Content Unlocker EXTRA LITE
– All of the above minus for online ped clothing – this makes it incompatible with mods that require online clothing for peds such as Cowgirls Revisioned
– Still compatible with Named or important online characters such as Sherriff Freeman, Cripps or Teddy Brown etc.
– Online animal mods will still work, maybe the exception being the collared bear from the Online Bears in SP mod
– Kept the online sounds just in case any cutscene characters require them.
Online Content Unlocker JUST HORSES
– Only compatible with mods that require online horse coats.
– Online sounds removed
Online Content Unlocker JUST .asis
– Only compatible with the three .asi mods described above.
– Mods requiring online horse coats or anything else are not compatible.
– Online sounds removed

What is the purpose of this mod?
To fill a void for people who are looking for a minimalist experience when it comes to mods – unlock only things that you use.
How much more light it is than the original?
I removed all the stuff that I could without breaking certain parts of the game, tested several mods to make sure they work,
and then removed more parts to make even lighter variants for people who really only need a few things. In the description you can read more about incompatibilities so you can understand what was removed.
Will you make XYZ additional versions?
Perhaps, within reason I might add support for a few additional .asi mods that depend on certain assets.
What mods are 100% NOT compatible?
Any mod that requires online weapons, such as Red Dead Offline will not be compatible and I will not make LITE compatible with these mods.
if you want to play with the navy revolver, elephant rifle, bolas etc just use the original mod by energidaan.
