Friesians V1.0

Friesians V1.0

My take on the elegant Friesian horse. Sport variant will be added in the future.

A stunning horse with long, thick beautiful mane. Not necessarily a “western” horse but a nice addition nonetheless.
This was planned all the way back in january, however a lot of other projects I had made me postpone it for a while.
Actually, a friend of mine suggested I made my version, so here I am, months later, presenting to you the finished model I once started on.

The purebred Friesian Horse is seen in black, but chestnut, gray and smoky black can make its appearance, but they are very rare coat colors. The Friesian Sport Horse however, can have various pinto patterns and even appaloosa spots.
The first update for this mod will be the purebred coats. Since it’s summer and less PC time, I will release the Sport Horse Variant later on as a second update 🙂

Each Horse comes with a Braided and Long Mane variant. If you want to use both at the same time, one of the ymt’s has to be renamed, see further below:

INSTALLATION
I recommend tinkering with horse mods manually, without the mod manager that comes with lenny’s modloader. It’s easier to keep track of your files that way.
You’ll need Alexander Blade’s Scripthook, Asi Loader and last but not least I recommend you install Rampage Trainer, if you want to use the horse(s) you’ve added immediately.
Once Lenny’s Mod Loader is in your game’s directory, you need to create a folder in “lml” and name it “stream”. Here’s where all your texture files will be located when replacing the ones in game.

OBS!
My mods will not work if you’re using any overhaul mod wich replaces all the horses. The only way would be to manually sort files out, and should be done only by those who understand what they’re doing.

The horse’s appearance will change depending on its weight. The hind and belly might not look like my “correct” model if it’s set too high. You can change the horse’s weight with Rampage Trainer but note that this only works on your active saddle horse that must have reached at least bonding level 1.

TO CHANGE THE HORSE TO REPLACE A DIFFERENT ONE THAN THE ONE I’VE ASSIGNED, SIMPLY RENAME THE “.ymt” TO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING HORSES:

I know we all like the ability to customise our horses, and for that reason, I will allow you to change the color of a horse’s eyes. I could make 2 variations of each horse with blue & brown eyes but that would just be tedious and hard for me to manage, both with the files and the images xD

So, in order to do this, you need to open the .YMT file. You do this with the standard notes app. In here, you’ll need to search for one of the two following lines. You do this by clicking on Ctrl+F or going to the menu, pressing “edit” and “search”. Then paste one of these codes:

0x74791D3A is the code for blue eyes
0x25D15B14 is the code for brown eyes

Depending on what horse you’re modifying, replace the code you find with either of those 2 🙂
