In the vanilla game, gifts are split into 8 categories:
– Botany
– Chemistry
– Xenosociology
– Gastronomy
– Medicine
– Theft
– Geology
– Scavenging
This mod streamlines the system into 3 refined categories, each packed with meaningful items:
– Gastronomy: Meal Kits and Water.
– Medicine: Amps, Panacea (level 20+), and Emergency Kits (level 20+).
– Theft: Credits, Digipicks, and Ship Repair Kits.
NPCs who originally gave certain gift types now align with the improved categories:
– NPCs from Gastronomy continue to give improved Gastronomy items.
– NPCs from Botany, Chemistry, Medicine, and Xenosociology now give improved Medicine items.
– NPCs from Geology, Scavenging, and Theft now give improved Theft items.
This mod was created using the Creation Kit unlike other similar ones that were made with xEdit.
Installation:
Copy the UsefulGifts.esm file from this archive into your game’s data folder and enable via Vortex or the in-game Creations menu via the Load Order button.
