Akila City Oasis (Wip) V0.02

This is my work in progress and would love any feedback you all can provide. The main idea is to provide the city with more areas to explore and make it feel more alive, In the expanded part of the city I’ve created and copied a bunch of buildings with the intention they can all be walked into with no loading screens. Almost every new building with a door can be opened and walked into. 4 or 5 of the new buildings have a furnished interior, the rest have partial interiors or are empty for now until i focus on them more. But the main reason for this is so other modders can add there own mods to the city like modded shops or npcs for their own missions. I’m learning as I go cause this is my first mod. There’s no NPCs walking around the town yet, and your companions will be jumping all over the place cause the navmesh isn’t done, but you should be able to explore everywhere.

Also I highly recommend using the “disable LOD swap” feature in the “Starfield Engine Fixes” and “Rabbit’s Real Lights Akila City” mod, and “Royal Weathers” mod. Not required but definitely enhances the experience.

And so far it’s compatible with the Star Wars Genesis mod too!

But please let me know what you all think, if you have anything you’d like to see, I’m open to ideas. Almost none of it is done cause I’m working on it piece by piece so i’m re-doing things as i go.

Can be installed with Mod Manager 2. If you do it manually, just make sure to back up your akilacity.BTD file located in
Starfield/data/TERRAIN/

Version 0.06
Important: Load into Jamison or some other planet and wait 72-144 hours before going to Akila. Also added two snow capped mountains(first attempt, next will be better) which also look 1,000 times better with my optional Akila weather mod. I’ve done more work to the underground city area,plan to finish uptown soon. Have to add more clutter and decorations everywhere still but i’m still working on the foundations first.

Important: Load into Jamison or some other planet and wait 72-144 hours before going to Akila. , i got inspired by the Armada teaser.So i started testing out some new ideas. I was a able to fit a small M class ship inside vertically.You can take your vehicle down with you:) Also i recommend going to the Control Room….

Version 0.04
I learned how to make elevators and trams yesterday so i made some custom ones. GIANT elevator is in the building behind your ship, i added some cool stuff underground, lighting is still unfinished so you may only notice some of those new things with a flashlight. You can acces the custom tram from the bottom of that elevator too, the area is unfinished so you’ll have to jump and boost your way up to platform and hit the call button and you’ll see it travel down shortly, or you can access it from above on the other side. You can also see sort of what im working on down there too, lighting is unfinished and im still messing with the terrain. And yeah just let me know what you all think. Enjoy!

Version 0.03
I renamed the mod, this should fix that cyclical error people were getting. I recommend deleting the old one. When loading the game this time you’ll get a “modtest_4.esm not found message” don’t worry that will only appear once. I fixed an issue with placing markers for Keoni’s quest. Made some more changes to the landscape behind the lake. Added the beginning of a new underground area behind the lake! you can find the entrance past the the golden tree against the city wall with the giant windows and red steel pillars. let me know what you think, it’s not finished. There’s also a wall missing behind where you’re ship lands….don’t worry, you’lll see why in the next update. And just like last time make sure to hangout somewhere outside the system like Jamison for 72 hours and head back to Akila City after so all the temp objects go back to where they belong.
