Beginner’s Luck is a new Tier 1 (Novice) Social skill, inspired by Fallout’s “Idiot Savant” that grants a random chance to gain an increased amount of XP, the frequency determined by the player’s level. It is completely new and compatible with anything.
RANK 1
Randomly receive 2x XP from any action, and the lower your level, the greater the chance.
RANK 2
Randomly receive 3x XP from any action, and the lower your level, the greater the chance.
RANK 3
Randomly receive 4x XP from any action, and the lower your level, the greater the chance.
RANK 4
Randomly receive 5x XP from any action, and the lower your level, the greater the chance.
CHALLENGE 1
Loot 25 containers.
CHALLENGE 2
Deal 10 critical hits.
CHALLENGE 3
Succeed in 5 speech challenges.
Beginner’s Luck can be found on Tier 1 (Novice tier) of the Social skill tree. It works very much like Fallout’s “Idiot Savant” skill where every time you gain XP, there’s a random chance (chances are higher at lower levels) that it’s multiplied. It’s a great skill to take for anyone, but will help more in the early game compared to late. It uses the icon of Rejuvenation.
