Replaces 11 vanilla weapons with Mandalorian / Bounty Hunter themed weapons from the Star Wars Universe.
Introduction
First of all: If you are not a fan of Star Wars, this mod is probably not for you.
This mod is designed around the intention to turn Starfield into a Galaxy far, far away.
The foundation why this mod exists is most notably the astonishing work of radicalclownfriend. I highly recommend to download all his mods, but especially the faction ones that turn United Colonies into the Galactic Empire and the Freestar Collective into the Rebel Alliance.
This is part 4 of a mod series that will replace (hopefully) all existing weapons in Starfield with counterparts from the Star Wars Universe.
What the Mod does
Replaces 11 vanilla weapons with counterparts known from the Star Wars movies/series
Most of the weapons consist only of one model and therefore have no visible changes when you add/remove mods on the weapon workbench. You can use all their vanilla mods though.
Some weapons are replaced by completely new ones. Read “Details” for more information.
Tweaked the ADS view in first person, so you can always see what you’re aiming at
All weapons have their sounds replaced. They now sound like you know it from other games/movies/series.
The Blasters shoot laser bolts. Thanks to radicalclownfriend for giving me the permission!
Optional: New weapon icons for the HUD to match the replaced models.
Details:
The weapons of this part are based upon the preferred weapons of specific Bounty Hunters of the Star Wars Universe.
Here is an overview of what weapons will be replaced:
Old Eath Pistol >>>Westar 35
Commonly used by Mandalorians such as the Death Watch and favorite weapon of Bo Katan
XM-2311 >>>Westar 34
The XM-2311 normally is just a slightly better Old Earth Pistol. I changed that. The Westar 34 now is a laser weapon with a little bit more accuracy over the Westar 35, which stays a ballistic weapon. They do the same amount of damage and have the same modifications.
Solstice >>>LL-30
Big thanks to Ewody for letting me use his model! The LL-30 is a well known weapon by fans of the infamous Bounty Hunter Cad Bane. It does a little bit more damage now and also is probably the pistol with highest accuracy.
Varuun Starshard >>>IB-94
Used by Din Djarin in the TV show “The Mandalorian”
Arc Welder >>>DT-12
You are reading right, the Arc Welder now is completely replaced by another hand fire gun. The DT-12 is used by the Bounty Hunter Greedo during his mission to capture Han Solo on Tatooine. It is a small but deadly laser pistol with small range but high base damage. Like the Solstice, it is still an early game weapon and should provide an alternative choice, because there are not many laser guns in the game.
Hard Target >>>DLT-20A
The DLT-20A is a beloved long range weapon by many bounty hunters and soldiers alike. It is commonly used by Assassin Droids like IG-88 or IG-11.
OE Hunting Rifle >>>IQA-11
The IQA-11 is a slim sniper rifle often used by Bounty Hunters and mercenaries. One of its more known users is the Bounty Hunter Rumi Paramita.
OE Assault Rifle >>>Amban Phase-Pulse Rifle
Another major change to an existing weapon because this one clearly has to be in this part of the mod series. It became famous through the TV show “The Mandalorian” pulverising the enemies of Mando. The Amban Sniper Rifle is a particle weapon and does a great amount of physical and laser damage at the same time. The downside of its massive firepower is, it must be reloaded after each shot unless you mod it with a large magazine which doubles the amount.
Varuun Inflictor >>>EE-3
The EE-3 is the weapon of choice of maybe the most famous Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. It is powerful and deadly and probably has one of the most satisfying sound effects when shooting.
OE Shotgun >>>EE-4
There are not many shotguns in Star Wars so I had to improvise a little bit. The EE-4 maybe is one of the closest weapons, you can count into that category. The EE-4 doesn’t hit as hard as the Old Earth Shotgun but has double the magazine size and can be fired and reloaded very much faster. The bounty hunter and smuggler Sana Starros is one of its most known wielders.
Pacifier >>>Relby V10
Bossks favorite weapon, the Relby V10 is another special weapon and not the typical shotgun you think of. Compared to other shotguns it has a considerably higher accuracy and range but only fires one powerful shot. You could say it is a built-in slug shot mode. Also there was no energy shotgun in the game so I made the Relby V10 the first of it’s kind.
Installation
Use a mod manager. Use Plugin.txt Enabler.
Manual Installation:
Extract the zip file to “\Documents\My Games\Starfield\”
or if using Bakas “Disable MyGames folder” extract it to your “Data” folder where Starfield is installed.
If you don’t already have done so, please make a “StarfieldCustom.ini” or edit if it already exist in “\Documents\My Games\Starfield\” folder with the following:
