
My first mod for Starfield, And my first weapon mod ever. Mostly made as an exercise to figure out Nifskope and the CK, but worth releasing in the end.
This mod adds in the HK-416 Assault rifle, renamed to fit better into the lore to “Old Earth Service Rifle” It’s based upon the AA-99 Template, and uses 11mm ammo (optional patch to convert it to 5.56 included in the downloads section)
It uses the same firing sounds as the Maelstrom, and has a slightly faster firing rate than the default AA-99.
The weapon is integrated into the leveled lists for vendors and container loot, and sometimes spawns on NPCs/enemies.
Comes with various attachments, including:
A suppressor, a compensator, default HK muzzle.
Three different stock options, default, recoil compensating, and ergonomic.
Three different mag options, standard, lightweight, and armor piercing.
a number of internal modifications and conversions for semi and fully automatic.
A laser pointer.
and last but not least, 5 sight options, including experimental See Through Scopes: Iron sights, EOTECH Holo sight, Magnified EOTECH Holo sight (short scope), and ACOG (medium scope) and REAP-IR thermal/recon scope.
Packed into BA2 archives, uses a small master ESM.
Wait, see through scopes ?
ok so they work technically like reflex sights, but they have the proper zoom levels needed to function like actual scopes, and thanks to this setup the zoom also works in 3rd person.
I could not remove the animated sway your character has when Aiming down sights, but i modified the aim model of the scopes so they are *usable* without needing to press a button hold your breath and stabilize them.
Only the magnified EOTECH Holo and the ACOG scopes are see through, due to game limitations the REAP-IR couldn’t be made the same without turning the whole screen black and white.
Hurrrrr the animations are wonky/don’t fit this mod stinks!
As long as we Modders do not have access to the animations tools Bethesda uses we cannot re-animate weapons or adjust them to fit better with the gun they’re used on, sorry.

None of the assets used were made by me, they come from various -free- sketchfab sources, i only modified the textures a little where needed and made a new normal map in some cases, as well as made the ACOG reticle and did all the CK and Nifskope work.
