Weapon Balance Revised V1.0

Hello! This is my first mod for Starfield! (Of many might I add, some more already in the works)

As the title and description says, this mod aims to re-balance vanilla weapons so that you can choose the weapon you like, rather than the few options you have when you reach a high level.

Not only that but I have also added the missing quality tiers for weapons that were missing it, such as the Eon and Equinox.

Finally, I also adjusted the levels at which you find quality tiers, so you won’t find any higher qualities until level 20+

In summary, what this mod does:

– Total re-balance of all Vanilla weapons, all guns should now be viable regardless of your level!
– Adds missing quality tiers for weapons, meaning you’ll now find advanced Eon’s/Equinox etc…
– Adjusts the level at which you begin to find calibrated/Refined/Advanced guns so you don’t find an advanced Eon before you even get a calibrated Razorback. 

As an example of the disparity between some weapons. Here is an example:

Advanced Drumbeat:

Damage: 15
ROF: 160
Mag Size: 60

Advanced Maelstrom:

Damage: 10
ROF: 150
Mag Size: 40

As you can see, the Drumbeat outclasses the Maelstrom in every single way. While this makes sense in a game like Skyrim where an Ebony sword would be better than an iron sword. It doesn’t make too much sense in guns.

My method has been to bring up the under-performing guns to the level of the higher performing guns. So there isn’t many ‘nerfs’ as such, with a few exceptions such as the XM-2311, even then, it’s only a small damage decrease so that pistols wouldn’t be outright better than rifles.

What this does mean, is that you’ll find early game to be easier than normal due to the increased damage. You can mitigate this by putting up the difficulty on the gameplay options to make you do less damage.

It’s also a double edged sword though keep in mind, as enemies will also do increased damage! Better make use of cover now!

Here are a few examples of the changes:

Advanced Drumbeat:

Damage: 15 -> 17
ROF: 160
Mag Size: 60

Advanced Maelstrom:

Damage: 10 -> 18
ROF: 150
Mag Size: 40

As you can see, the Maelstrom now has more damage than the Drumbeat, but the drumbeat has a higher ROF and Mag Size. Which is the payoff in this situation.

Example 2:

Advanced XM-2311:

Damage: 60 -> 52
ROF: 67
Mag Size: 9

Advanced Eon (New!)

Damage: 54
ROF: 50
Mag Size: 12

In this case, the XM-2311 has a damage decrease whereas the new Advanced Eon has a damage of 54! The Eon has a bigger mag but a slower ROF, that +17 ROF actually made a big difference so I decided to lower the total damage of the XM-2311 to prevent power creep.

Of course I’ll have to make changes here and there as people report things that may not work as intended.

Installation: 

Requirements:

Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) 
Plugins Text Enabler 

1. Install SFSE as stated on it’s mod page.
2. Install Plugins Text Enabler as stated on it’s mod page.
3. Install this mod into your Starfield data folder. So “\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield/Data” <– It goes in this folder!
4. open your plugins.txt folder and add *WeaponBalanceRevised.esm to the list, there is a more in-depth explanation on the mod page should you need it!
5. Launch Starfield through SFSE_Loader and enjoy!
