If you have a DualSense controller, this mod is going to change RDR2 forever for you
This mod is a complete remake of my older mod that integrates with the DualSense controller and brings adaptive triggers.
That mod did the job, but, well… had many issues. I decided to build it from the ground up based on DSX.
NOTE: this mod requires DSX in order to work. DSX is a paid program that integrates with the DualSense controllers and allows access for developers. However, it doesn’t cost much and having Adaptive Triggers in the game truly brings another level of immersion, so I believe it worths it.
Improvements from the previous mod:
No more clunky triggers.
No need in any other program except for DSX.
All of the old’s mod features are included in this version: adaptive triggers, RGB indication for stamina, health and dead eye levels, etc.
Added new custom gun cocking trigger modes based on the weapon you’re holding: pump shotgun, bolt action, repeaters, etc.
Installation:
Download and install DSX. It needs to run on the background while you’re playing, preferably before you launch the game.
Make sure you have scripthook installed.
If you have the old mod installed, delete it’s files competely (the DualSense.asi file & the DualSense folder).
Drop the mod’s files into the game folder.
Full list of features:
Various adaptive triggers for guns, throwables, bow, lasso, fishing, melee combat, etc. Almost every type of weapon has a unique triggers mode.
Health RGB indication: The controller’s led will go from green to red as your health gets lower. If overpowered, the led will turn gold, which will start fading out as the effect worns off.
Stamina RGB indication: the controller’s led has a breathing effect, which will get more frequent as your stamina gets lower. When mounted on a horse, the mod will swhich to display the horse’s stamina.
Dead Eye RGB indication: when dead eye is activated, the controller’s led will turn red. The led will fade out as your dead eye level gets lower.
