Cad Bane (Star Wars) V1.1

Cad Bane (Star Wars) V1.1

Adds a standalone outfit and spacesuit along with a character preset from Cad Bane (Star Wars).

Cad Bane at your service. I’ll take on any job… for the right price.

One of the most feared Bounty Hunters from the Star Wars universe, known from the “Clone Wars”, “Bad Batch” and “Book of Boba Fett” TV series, now makes his appearance in Starfield.

To make things clear first:
This armor set is meant to be used for a Cad Bane character. It is not designed to be worn by a human character.
radicalclownfriend made a preset which uses a unique Duros head for the player. If you ever want to use it without that preset, things will definitely not look right.

The mod comes in two parts. The second part is still in beta and totally optional.

What you get: (part 1)

Cad Bane Outfit (Apparel & Spacesuit)
Cad Bane Hat with breathing tubes (Apparel & Space Helmet)
Cad Bane Character Preset (CharGenMenu required)

All spacesuits/clothes are craftable at the industrial workbench.
You can also craft an invisible jetpack. In the series he uses his jetboots to fly around. Unfortunately I couldn’t make this work and I think it isn’t possible at the moment without looking extremely awkward.

optional: (part 2)

Hunter Replacer (Cad Bane becomes “The Hunter”)
“The Hunter” carries a new unique legendary version of the LL-30 Blaster you can obtain

REQUIREMENTS
CharGenMenu is a hard requirement to make this mod work flawlessly (and so is SFSE). You will need the preset file in the download section to make your character look like in the screenshots.
This mod should work without radicalclownfriends Star Wars Aliens mod but I recommend to use his mod, too if you haven’t done so already.

Installation
Use a mod manager. Use Plugin.txt Enabler.
Install the main file (and if you like the optional Hunter replacer beta) with your mod manager.
You can’t install the CharGenMenu preset file (Cad_Bane.json) through your mod manager. You have to download it manually (Download section -> Updates) and extract it into your CharGenMenu preset folder (should be “Documents\MyGames\Starfield\SFSE\Plugins\Chargen\Presets”). Now you will see “Cad_Bane” in your CharGen presets when you start a new game or type in “slm player 1” to bring up the character creation menu. Choose the preset, enter your name and your background and you are good to go.

Manual Installation:
Extract the zip file to “\Documents\My Games\Starfield\”
or if using Bakas “Disable MyGames folder” extract it to your “Data” folder where Starfield is installed.
If you don’t already have done so, please make a “StarfieldCustom.ini” or edit if it already exist in “\Documents\My Games\Starfield\” folder with the following:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=Then activate the esm. Don’t ask me how to do that if you don’t use a mod manager. If you are using Vortex, please read how to add mods through Vortex or ask the Vortex support/Discord. I only use Mod Organizer 2 and can help with that.

Known issues:
The Hunter Replacer mod is not ment to be used mid playthrough. You will have to start a new game (or new game +)
Even though you started a new game, “The Hunter Replacer” may not work correctly after “The Hunter” shows you his face at specific point of the main quest. You will see what I mean if that happens
