This is a personal configuration of the well known mod Ped Damage Overhaul uploaded by HughJanus, which i feel makes the mod even better!
I originally created this configuration for myself, but thought that some other people like me would enjoy it. Feel free to leave feedback or ask for configurations to your liking, and i might make seperate versions.
You can use any sort of euphoria mod with this, and it is highly recommended, but if you’re not planning to, make sure to change the ‘Euphoria Mod Installed’ to 0 in the ini file, as it is enabled by default with this mod.
This is the ‘light’ version of Ped Damage Overhaul with a bunch of tweaks, so if you want to know more, check the ini file for the changes i’ve made.
What to expect:
– Longer lasting and more dramatic reactions to gunshots.
– More brutal, fun and engaging combat.
– High standards for any use of euphoria mods.
– A generally more satisfying and enjoyable experience, to phycopaths like myself!
For additional info, be sure to check out the official mod Ped Damage Overhaul
If anything is not up to par, give me feedback in the posts section, and i will try to figure it out.
Installation
– Open the installed zip file.
– Drag the ‘peddamageoverhaul.ini’ into your game directory (where the rdr2.exe is located)
– Download the official Ped Damage Overhaul mod, and drag the .asi file from the ‘light version’ into your game directory (where the rdr2.exe is located)
Requires: Script Hook RDR2
Recommendations
– It is highly recommended to install a euphoria mod to your liking. I know there are a lot, which is why i’m working on a full ranking of all 15-16 of them, so look forward to that!
– I recommend using Whyem’s BloodLust, at whichever level you prefer. It just adds another level of gore, and works really great with this mod!
Changelog:
Version 1.2 – Main Mod
FINAL UPDATE!
-Added a Head Bleed compatibility patch!
-Further adjusted health, pretty much perfecting it.
-Re-added the vanilla police behavior (they ride up close to you) as PDO overwrote this with it’s own AI
-Decreased accuracy, as it was quite unbalanced at times
-Balanced out leg, neck, and arm shots. It will no longer take 32+ shots in the leg for an NPC to die (why was that a feature?)
-Further adjusted dying-states, it will feel better and more balanced, instead of every NPC giving up, making gunfights easy
-Added the rare ability that an NPC would cower when disarmed
-Decreased chances of fire survival
And Much More!
Update 1.1 has just been released, balancing the combat overall by increasing health a bit, adding the ability for NPC’s to cower when disarmed (quite rare) and more!!
I hope you enjoy the first update, many more to come. In the next update i will focus on adjusting the Law AI riding horses, as it is completely unadjusted currently!
