The Sky is Ours is a project that improves and adds several features and game capabilities, without changing drastically the gameplay like other similar projects. As our focus is to improve the game we will be adding variations, challenges, ideas, etc but always keeping 2 things in mind: balance, difficulty, mood, look&feel.
1) What is this project?

2) The Project Scopes
To keep the track and organization of this mod project I will be working on different scopes, initially, I am starting with 3 Scopes:
a) Game Fix/Bugs Corrections
Like any game, No Man’s Sky comes with several bugs, where we as modders can fix and/or workaround with mods. Even considering HelloGames have always been fixing several of them, we will consider this is a very active scope.
b) Game Features Improvements
As a general agreement, some game features could be better, a great example is the Loading Distance(Lod), whenever we make one game feature a little better than original, will be on this scope.
c) Game Brand New Additions
We also want to grow the game experience, new items, substance, recipes, products, models, ships, everything that could add more and more fun to the game keeping always in mind the balance, theme, mood, and look&feel.
3) The Project Stages
Each of the scopes will have a different stage, which could mean a specific feature, addition, or issue we are launching as stable. We hope this way to create a logical and easy for the community to keep track and understand everything this mod is doing with the game.
4) Each Scope & Stage in Details
Scope a) FIXES/BUGS
Stage 1 – Icons Duplication: we have found 21 products/substances that have the very same icons as other, and/or its variations and improvements were not showing any visual on the icon. Although it could be easily considered an improvement and or game addition, we consider an image duplication as a bug.
Scope b) IMPROVEMENTS
Stage 1 – Loading Distance: we have drastically change the loading distance of several objects, biomes and on the different graphics qualities. This improvement can have a significant impact on the gameplay, as also for your computer CPU/GPU.
Scope c) NEW ADDITIONS
Stage 1 – Collectible Cards: We have added a set of 12 brand new collectible cards to spawn all over the crates, boxes, and barrels around the galaxy (10% chance) what makes it extremely rare to find a booster. Even not being a significant addition, we are just slowly starting our engines.
