Project Valkyrie - A NMS Overhaul

A WIP No Mans Sky game overhaul mainly focused on exploration and visuals. Makes thousands of changes to terrain, objects, colours, space and more.
Continuation of Origins Enhanced.

My second game overhaul.
Touches a lot of aspects in NMS, while still retaining it’s core.
I plan to make everything modular because this mod in itself changes A LOT.
I’m gonna split up the features in a couple of sections, keep in mind that all below is subject to change.

Terrain
I always found the terrain lacking in variety and alienness, even after it got a lot better with the Origins update.
I’ve aimed to change this to more varied and wildy shaped terrain.

Features:
– Restored procedural superformulas not previously used in the game (pre-visions)
– Removed some limitations
– Tweaked the terrain generation a lot, results can be pretty wild
– All around improvements

Biome Generation
Overhauled biome generation. Almost all planets won’t show it’s planet type (e.g Verdant Planet) upon being scanned, only what extraterrestial class it belongs to.
Why? A lot is possible now. For example, one can encounter a burning bubble planet with beautiful trees and occasional mushrooms. Possibilities are endless.

Features:
– Wider colour variety for objects
– Encounter almost everything everywhere
– Tweaked a bunch of values for a lot of objects
– Wider palette colours

Minimalistic Graphics Overhaul
Removed rim lighting, tweaked texture values, tweaked some post process values, better clouds, and improved reflections.
Terrain textures now also have a lot more depth if you set the terrain tesselation on high or ultra.

Space colours
Tweaked space colours and nebulae, resulting in a much wider variety of colours possible. Black space, yellow with purple space, beet red with a little tint of blue space, so on.

Spaceflight Overhaul
Turn faster, roll faster, boost now is actually viable in space, removed trails, reduced the visibility of speedlines.

Environmental changes
Including space, fog, creatures, water, skies.

Features:
– Asteroid fields overhaul giving a greater sense of scale
– Increased creature max scale
– Jellyfish can now appear in air (cause that’s just cool as heck)
– Fixed the water height bug
– Wider min-max values for skies and fog.
