This mod is made to be played as John. Playing in 1899 will cause some glitches due to missing buildings and stuff like that.
Immediately following the rise of the dead across the frontier, Valentine was one of the first towns to fall to hysteria. Soldiers from Fort Wallace coming to the town to establish a supply line managed to restore order and now many of the town residents have taken up arms to defend their home.
This mod adds survivors and other things across the Western Heartlands surrounding Valentine. It is a remake of my old version of Undead Valentine, being more polished and stable. I currently plan on remaking the entire of Heartland Hell, and this is the first work i’ve done toward that. I tried to recreate the original Undead Valentine to the best of my ability while adding more stuff outside the town as far as Limpany. Like the original, the full Heartland Hell file will feature everything this mod does but will also transform the entire Heartlands into an undead nightmare.
Of course I recommend Undead Nightmare II for this map since it adds zombies and weather effects, but it’s not mandatory. Unlike the original Undead Valentine and Heartland Hell, this map does not require Undead Towns or Undead Camps which I personally found to cause some issues.
This mod requires Map Editor 0.1.7.0. The version of Map Editor currently available on the nexus is a different version and will not work. Version 0.1.7.0 also is more stable in my own personal experiences using both versions and also features a number of features that are absent in the nexus version of map editor.
