Just Quit Trolling Already V1.0

Just Quit Trolling Already V1.0

Disables all NPC troll behaviors when riding a horse! Including running into the road in-front of you, veering into you on horseback and cutting you off in wagons!

(Renamed from “Just Use Crosswalks Already!” in case anyone’s confused. I’ve finished testing, and it works. So new name time!)

Yes, these are intentional troll behaviors from the devs. The NPCs only do it to the player character and nobody else, so they aren’t random “ambient” behaviors. With the “running in-front of you” troll only happening in the high population cities and towns (Saint Denis, Blackwater, etc.)

Peds should also complain at you less now, and they should be less twitchy around you in general when you’re on a horse. Regardless of the location. Although, they are still overly jumpy when you ride directly at them, but that’s a separate behavior (aka. “move or die”).

Exhibit A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsoxrsrsdgA – People running into the road like this.
Exhibit B: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbvTqN2w5qA – Carts and wagons cutting you off like this.

Testing Updates:

So after running around with this for the past 3 days, I think I’ve figured out how this works… for the most part…
Both the running out in-front of you and the horse riders that veer into you trolls appear to be from the same behavior modifier (fDecideToRunChance). You can even see this in-game, in that you can see the animations change the moment they decide they’re gonna troll you. It’s a weird, sudden twitch when jumping from one animation set to the other. Any ways, they both happen at the same exact distance, and they’re both gone now so…
The wagon drivers that cut you off at intersections troll seems to use the obstruction radius (from the complaining NPCs) to time their maneuvers so that they don’t actually hit you. Meaning, the complaining NPCs themselves were actually a byproduct of the troll implementation. Because it basically made you the size of a wagon and you’d “obstruct” them anytime you got within 15ft or so (that’s 3m for my comrades).

Weird Crossing Locations: (Meaning, these aren’t trolls.)

The tram lines around Saint Denis appear to have “special” crossing areas that aren’t very obvious. But they are consistent once you learn them!
The main strip in Blackwater seems to be a free-for-all with like 5 extra crossing points for no reason. Including one directly next to an actual crosswalk that they don’t use? Then everywhere else is super organized, even the crosswalk opposite the broken one in the same intersection. It’s just weird.
