I hope you like sand. This mod removes all rocks, gas vents, and other obstacles in two of the Sandy Desert Biomes.
Starfield lacks a real dune landscape, and the sandy deserts are filled with procedurally generated terrain elements that don’t blend in naturally.
Less is more, and sometimes, none is even better. This mod removes all proc-gen rocks, gas vents, and other obstacles in two of the Sandy Desert Biomes, leaving behind a vast, desolate landscape of endless sand dunes.
There is a minor caveat: the rocks are essential for the spawning of minerals, so this mod will make scanning for inorganic resources in these biomes almost impossible, but it can still be done in other biomes of the affected planets or moons. Resource veins remain present, and resource gathering using the outpost harvesters is unaffected. Other gameplay mechanics, such as keywords, flora, fauna, resources, or quests, also stay the same. Rocks associated with POI are still present; this includes a few rocks at ship landing sites.
The two affected biomes are called “DesertSandyNoLife02” and “DesertSandyNoLife06”. The “NoLife02” has black sand, whereas “NoLife06” has a more conventional “sand colour”.

Removal of the proc gen terrain elements.
Retexturing of the terrain.
