Already have enough of one ingredient, but cannot untrack because you need to track some other resources in the same recipe?
Want to highlight resources you frequently use but tired of retracking everytime after crafting?
Well just take this mod, track resources individually, and track ahead!
Material Analysis (new category)
-All 47 inorganic resources
-All 30 organic resources
-3 special resources
Alien Genetic Material
Robotics (new category)
-All 29 manufactured components
Food and Drink (existing category)
-All 14 food categories
-All 15 specific cooking ingredients
Boom! Pop Cherry
Meal Pack – Tofu
0 Chems (just pick up any chems you come across and sell excess, also Trade Authority traders sell Squall and Whiteout if you need them for research projects at higher level)
How to use
Untrack all recipes/projects you want to partially track, and remember the resources you wish to individually track
Go to a research station and find the right category
Find the resource you want to track, they are sorted by rarity (number of dots at the begginning) then by alphabetical order
Track the project and never worry about it (until you NG+)
Come back to the project and stop tracking to, well, stop tracking that ingredient
1. The icons for Material Analysis and Robotics category are random, because they are unused vanilla category and Bethesda never bothered assigning an icon to them.
2.Tracking a research project requiring one of the below will cause a visual bug where all of below appear to be “tracked”. This bug is purely visual and exclusive to the research table, and the tracking icons are working correctly outside the research table.
-Alien Genetic Material
-food categories (soda, liquor etc.)
To figure out what is actually tracked and what is not, use the button prompt at the bottom ([R] Track/Untrack project).
Put this mod (IndividualResourceTracking.esm) into your load order. I recommend Plugins.txt Enabler for loading .esm plugins, refer to its mod page for instructions. Don’t forget to grab all its prerequisites, and don’t forget to put an asterisk * before the plugin you want to load!
This mod uses correct IRES reference to cover all 124 resources currently assessible in vanilla (minus the 15 specific cooking ingredients for apparent reason), therefore it is futureproof in case there are more items added corresponding to the same resource (e.g. Iron Ingot is also recognized as iron, as long as it uses vanilla ResInorgCommonIron [IRES:000057C7])
This mod uses the vanilla unused research categories (Category_ResearchAnalysis, Category_ResearchRobotics) to group all items, so it will not conflict with other mods that changes research projects, whether it’s adding new projects or categories.
