This mod unlocks true omni-directional movement in Starfield.
No more sluggish backwards walk or clunky sprint cut-offs — now you can move, strafe, and sprint in any direction with equal speed just like modern action RPGs.
Perfect for players who:
Want smooth 360° locomotion.
Sprint freely without being yanked
⚙️ Features
✔️ Walk, run, and sprint at equalized speeds in all directions.
✔️ Full 360° turning while sprinting — no forced stop.
✔️ Snappy accelerations & decelerations (feels modern, less floaty).
✔️ Animation turn speeds doubled to keep pace with new movement.
✔️ Diagonal speed normalization fix (no more faster diagonals).
✔️ Configurable INI — tweak speed multipliers, thresholds, and blending.
✔️ Sliding in any direction!
📥 Installation
Download and extract the archive.
Place the included StarfieldCustom.ini into:
Documents\My Games\Starfield\
Merge with your existing file if needed.
(Optional but recommended) Use Baka Disable My Games Folder or a custom INI loader if running through Mod Organizer 2.
Launch the game and enjoy full OmniMovement!
(Warning:Third-Pesron camera is janky. Still looking to improve the mod.)
🔧 Customization Inside StarfieldCustom.ini you can tweak:
fActorRunSpeedMult → Run speed scaling (default: 1.2).
fMovementDirectionBlendSeconds → How quickly you snap between movement directions (default: 0.05).
fActorAccelerationBase / fActorDecelerationBase → Responsiveness tuning.
Advanced users can also adjust sprint multipliers, jump height, and gravity for more fluid parkour-lite play.
🛠️ Compatibility
Works with vanilla game, no plugin required.
Compatible with most animation mods.
Load order irrelevant (INI-based).
If another mod alters movement INIs, last write wins — merge manually if needed.
🚀 Future Plans
Optional versions for parkour/jump buffs.
Optional slower immersive variant for survival play.
Possible SFSE plugin expansion if hidden engine settings are discovered.
