Sharing a bat file I made for myself just incase anyone else gets use from it. This is just a collection of useful console commands I used on my own ship, bundled into one easier to use command.
This file should make it easier to tweak the performance and capacity of different parts of your ship, meaning you can build a GOOD ship without building a HUGE ship.
You will be able to adjust:
Cargo capacity
Shielded Cargo capacity
Reactor Power
Grav Fuel
Docking Distance
Looting Distance (for floating cargo)
Distance from ship before you are unable to access its inventory
How to use:
You will need to have your Ship ID selected in the console window, the easiest way to do this is to get into space with the ship, open the console and type “player.getspaceship”
Alternatively once the console window is open, if you are viewing your ship in 3rd person, you can click it to see the Ship ID.
Once selected, type “bat ShipTweak”
You can open the ShipTweaks.txt file to see what each option does and adjust them.
This will edit the ship for the rest of your save file. You can run the command again with edited values.
The distance values can be edited by editing the DistanceTweak.txt file. These would need to be ran every session to activate, which can be done the same way as the ShipTweak changes but see Installation for an easier method.
I don’t recommend using this on the Frontier and it probably won’t effect any NG+ships but I may be wrong.
Installation:
Download and extract both files to your main directory, example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield
In your StarfieldCustom.ini if you already have “sStartingCjavascript-event-stripped” then add to it so it looks like this:
sStartingCjavascript-event-strippedbat othermods;bat DistanceTweak
to your StarfieldCustom.ini
If you do not have that file I have included a basic one in the optional folder, install it in Documents\My Games\Starfield
If another bat file is occupying the sStartingConsoleCommand field and you want to keep it clean, you can edit it and copy/paste the lines from DistanceTweak.txt
