
This is more like version IIIV or IX of this ship, it has taken a few rebuilds to get the internal flow and exterior look just right. I wanted to make this Creation so that I can easily obtain it again for each NG+ and share it with all of you good folk; plus it has the added bonus of the quest-only ‘SAL-6830’ engines which you cannot access if you select the NG+ option when passing through the Unity. Tested and fully working – if I have built it correctly you need to be Level 65+ to purchase it, though you are restricted by the usual Skill Tree requirements for Piloting Class C ships.
There are two ship mod slots left on this beast to allow for the addition of the ‘Conduction Grid’ and the ‘Com Spike’. I have deliberately left these off so that you can follow that storyline to its fullest.
Stats on the ‘Krote IV’ are as you would expect, 4000+ cargo (with some shielding), 9 passenger slots, plenty of crew spots, particle lasers, missiles, heavy shield and fuel for days – see pic. in gallery. This is a BIG ship, but over its inception I have been able to make moving through the vast spaces relatively straightforward – you will just need to explore the ship for yourself to see. The ‘SAL-6830’ engines still allow this behemoth 100 maneuverability. What I did notice in-game was the gargantuan price tag to purchase this, at around 930K-Creds. In this new (hopefully final) update, I have placed a Security Crate in Waggoner Farm which contains the Waggoner Family ammo cache; in addition, atop the wooden pole next to it is a multi-lootable CredStik which contains 50K Credits and can be “collected” up to twenty times giving you a total of ONE MILLION credits. So, you now have the option of scooting over to Montara Luna to collect the funds for the purchase of the ‘Krote IV’ if you don’t want to save up in the usual manner, and grab a bucket-load of ammo as well.
Ship is available from New Atlantis, Deimos Shipyards and your Player Outpost(s)- there are no trick flips for ship modules.
