The first tweak is about the CPU Priority in windows. This works quite well most of the time, but can be potentially enhanced. For me it yielded about 1-4% more fps and also got rid of some annoying micro stutters.
The downloadable zip includes a file that changes the registry, so Starfield always runs on high priority. Its a very simple regedit with only two entries. If you want to remove the entry, I included an uninstall file as well.
The second tweak only works on Nvidia RTX 30- and 40-series. On my RTX 4070TI it improved the performance by a whopping 10-20%, depending on the scene.
It’s about a feature called resizable bar, that Nvidia introduced a while ago. You have to activate in on your system and then force Starfield to use it.
