This mod lets you dock from further away, since it’s supposed to be an auto dock anyways 500m is laughably close in the world of space travel. Options for 1000m, 2000m and 5000m.
1000m = less flying.
2000m = very little flying.
5000m = pop into the area, click the station or ship and dock with them immediately.
Install with your preferred Plugins.txt method.
