More crew members at your outposts? Here you go.
You will now be able to have a total of 100 crew members.
Crew members are usually tied to building crew stations. But surely you don’t want to set up dozens of crew stations in your outposts. So instead, I created a handy and unobtrusive way. Just add a simple wooden chair (as seen in the picture). Each of these chairs will allow an additional 10 crew members.
If you don’t like wooden chairs, sorry. Maybe hide it in a bathroom. Or put a succulent on top.
Also, your Ship Command skill has now been changed – otherwise you could only have a max of 8 crew members in total. Now, no matter which level 1-4 , they all allow the needed 100 crew members. (I did not bother to change the text description for different language versions, so the skill will still say 4, 5, 6, and 8 – just ignore that).
Word of caution: Depending on your machine you may not want to have the full 100 people in a single location … just saying …
How it works:
Simply activate the mod and build a wooden chair at your outpost. Or multiple. In the crew assignment screen you will now notice that the allowance has been raised by 10 for each chair you put down. Tadaa!
Please note #1: If for some reason you cannot immediately assign all the people you want, simply save and reload. This will do the trick. It’s Bethesda.
Please note #2: The effect of these chairs will only work on chairs you have placed AFTER installing the mod. If you want to take advantage of an already existing wooden chair, you need to remove and rebuild it.
Please note #3: The required Ship Command skill change, which increases your crew limit to 100, will only become active the next time you level up that skill. In case you are already maxed out on level 4, you need to remove it and re-apply it. You can to this in the console by typing these two lines:
player.removespell 00009b29
player.addspell 00009b29
Incompatibilites: Possibly incompatible with mods that change anything about the wooden chair. Should work with mods that simply add
outpost objects. E.g. it does work fine with Kaorus Plentiful Outpost – I’m using it myself.
Enjoy.
PS: Please do not uninstall the mod during your play-through. I do not know what will happen. Your computer may go up in flames. Or maybe you’ll be receiving a mail-oder dishwasher. Who knows. You should not uninstall mods that change the game mechanics anyway.
