A lightweight vanilla-style overhaul to the medicine and chemistry skills, research projects, and crafting system.
Major Changes:
The medicine skill challenges now require the player to craft medical items.
Medical items no longer affect progress in the Chemistry skill.
Med packs, Trauma Packs, and Emergency Kits all heal for the same total amount of health, a base of 33%, but over different periods of time. 12 seconds, 9 seconds, and 6 seconds.
I changed most of the recipes for the aid items and chems, while also adding in recipes for the missing items. As a low-level medical professional in my real life, I did my best to balance realism and playability, but I’m always open to feedback and suggestions.
Updated the research projects to be more realistic as well.
Minor Changes:
I renamed the Med Packs and Trauma Packs to Med Kits and Trauma Kits, because my autistic ass needed them all to end with the same word.
