Llama’s Police Overhaul V10.3.4

Llama's Police Overhaul V5.6.1

The goal of this mod is to make stealth useful and easy when wanted by the police or guard groups.

Stealth Improvements:
– Pursuing officers and guards will be unable to locate the player or infer their location when the player is hidden. That is, unless they have proper evidence or are following a naturally conflicting search pattern.
– Police and guards will have a harder time seeing the player when crouched.
– Hiding places are less likely to be searched.
– Train robberies have a 120 second window before police are notified in the wilderness.
– Further adjustments made to the police response to train robberies to allow for stealth when exited.

Police / Guard Behavior Adjustments:
– Police and guard grouping probabilities calculated down, leading to better flanking and search patterns.
– Police response times have been delayed and randomized to allow time to run or hide after a shootout.
– Time needed to escape a wanted level (once seen) has been increased.
– Search radius of the police has been overhauled for better investigations, with a reliance on evidence.

Witness Behavior Adjustments:
– Witnesses have a higher likelihood to go to the police rather than confronting the player.
– Witnesses investigate crimes for longer and more thoroughly.
– Witnesses can investigate from farther away.
– Larger witness numbers for public crimes.

To install:
1. Install Lenny’s Mod Loader.
2. Drag the “lml” folder into the root directory of RDR 2.

Changelog:
V1.0.3.4
Added the missing “install.xml” (oops). All LML files had no effect if 10.3.3 was your first install. Thanks for your help commenters! ASI hasn’t changed. Same source code as 10.3.3.

9.8 now available. Improved NPC visual sight, bounty tracker IDs prompt combat when seen, optimized pause menu protections to avoid a rare freeze, LML rebalance (undoing some of 9.7, adding better alternatives), NPC looks disabled without evidence, etc…

5.6.1 now available! Some witness variables were normalized to account for a rare glitch where witnesses or law won’t report a body. Due to the rarity of the glitch, it’s only a theorized solution. No significant gameplay changes from 5.6.

4.3.1 now available! Slightly more stable, in theory. Results should be identical to 4.3.

3.9 now available! You can now sit in the same bush as an unknown suspect and pick off cops into the hundreds. Automatic bounties for very close arrow/throwing knife kills and missed shots appear to have been eliminated during the unknown phase.

2.3 now available. New values were added and modified to eliminate sound detection and peripheral vision. Visibility and movement detection times and ranges have been reduced to half, and stealth melee attacks are becoming more simple to perform.
