SYNTH replaces all of the exploration, dungeon, city, and combat music tracks with a combination of groovy synthwave, gnarly bass, and wicked metal by artists such as Karl Casey, stellardrone, and platocarrieme.
These tracks have been added to the game through the Creation Kit and Wwise. What this means for you:
Combat music stops when it should, unlike with my previous soundtrack replacer.
Tracks can be added to the game instead of needing to replace existing music. I could add 20 tracks that play in Neon, for example.
This mod could theoretically be merged with other music mods if they are set up to use a plugin rather than overwrite existing music.
All of the variants of SYNTH rely on a plugin in order to work, meaning this mod will use 2 plugin slots if you decide to replace both the ambient and combat music.
VARIANTS
SYNTH – Ambient
ARTISTS: Karl Casey, stellardrone, platocarrieme
Replaces all of the exploration, dungeon, and city tracks with tracks primarily consisting of synthwave—with a light sprinkling of electronic drone for areas like space and caves.
All combat music variants are mutually exclusive with one another. Pick only one.
SYNTH Combat – Gnarly Bass
ARTISTS: Karl Casey
Replaces all of the combat tracks with gnarly, dark bass tracks.
SYNTH Combat – Wicked Metal
ARTISTS: Karl Casey
Replaces all of the combat tracks with wicked, heavy metal tracks.
INSTALLATION
Pick your SYNTH variants and download with a mod manager of your choosing.
Remember: all SYNTH Combat variants are mutually exclusive. They can be used with SYNTH – Ambient, but cannot be used together.
Enable your SYNTH variants in your mod manager. There should be one .esm per variant (so 2 total if you replace both the ambient music and the combat music).
You’re done.
I cannot provide support for manual installations.
