Various Crew V1.0

Various Crew V1.0

No more clones.
Increases appearing specialist crew faces from 32 (vanilla) to 500.
Optional: Sex selective spawn & Various Names plugin for ‘Tell Me Your Name‘.

Features:

This mod affects random generation of NEW recruitable unnamed specialist characters. It doesn’t create anything, but maximizes the recruit phenotype variety that vanilla could give.

The characters that will appear include 500 preexisting phenotypes from vanilla recruitable ship crew, random citizens, security agents, Ecliptic, First, Va’ruun, Starborn, Crimson Fleet and Spacers. (Therefore some recruits will look badass, and some will even have Red Devil eyes)

It doesn’t include any Named NPC phenotype, children or random crowd (the ugly ones in the street).

- Various Crew : all 500 specialist phenotypes will appear.
– Sex selective spawn is possible using the desired module of this mod :
- Amazon Crew : Only 250 female phenotypes will appear. (Optional files section)
- Male Crew : Only 250 male phenotypes will appear. (Optional files section)

Enable one module at a time.
If you keep them all active anyway, the last loaded module will take priority on the others.

– Optional file: Tell Me Your Name pluginincluding 11503 names from various origins.
Load the plugin after/below the original mod.

Combining Various Crew + Tell Me Your Name + this dedicated name plugin will give various names to your various specialist recruits.

Install / Uninstall:

Use a mod manager.

If you don’t have one, put the esm directly in your game Data folder, and update your plugin.txt. Just delete it from the folder and your plugin.txt to uninstall.

Enable / disable at will:

This mod only affects the spawning selection of new recruits and their variety, therefore it should be completely safe to enable/disable/switch module mid game, even in the middle of a spaceport bar with potential recruits around (restart Starfield for the change to take effect).
It won’t affect any preexisting character or member of your crew.

Compatibility:

It’s a basic modification that does only what it says.

It should work without conflict with any mod modifying perks, stats, names and spawn locations of recruitable unnamed specialist crew.
The same goes for mods altering appearance and equipment of unnamed NPCs.
Your new specialists will get all the boosts, equipment and cosmetic changes provided by these mods.

Mods adding characters to the game will be compatible if they add new references for these characters in a modular/non exclusive way.
These characters will appear among the various specialists.

Load order should’nt matter.
If it does, load this mod last.

Updates : It should also be relatively immune to future game updates. (So just try it before asking, it won’t break anything)

Get a Massive Crew WITH Mod Combinations:

This mod is made to be associated without conflict with mods that increase crew capacity of your ships and outposts and modify your command skills/perks.
I won’t recommend a mod in particular to get these features, so feel free to recommend clean and maintained ones in this mod’s thread.
I didn’t include these features in the mod to maximize its compatibility with these mods and future overhauls.

Get a Massive Crew WITHOUT Mod Combination :

Here is a less immersive way to get a massive crew in your ship using console commands, it will work independently of any active mod altering perks and skills :
