This mod adds a rank system to the Crimson Fleet, allowing you to advance in ranks and unlocking various rewards in doing so!
Overview
When I was watching MICADOOtv Starfield stream playing a pirate (amazing German YouTuber!), I came up with this idea to give a little more to do for the Crimson Fleet. Something to work towards besides the faction questline!
This mod adds a rank system to the Crimson Fleet, allowing you to advance in ranks and unlocking various rewards in doing so!
For best compatibility, none of the Crimson Fleet questline missions or mission board missions itself have been edited in any way.
A total of 6 new ranks have been added, each offering rewards. To advance in ranks, simply do the Crimson Fleet mission board missions. The main questline of the fleet does not count for progress in ranks, as you get rewards doing those already!
The amount of completed missions can be adjusted via a new gameplay option called ‘Crimson Fleet Ranks’, you can find more details about this setting further down.
The unlockable new player room comes with a terminal showing your current rank, your total amount of missions completed, and how many of each mission type (Smuggling, Stealing, Piracy) you completed.
This room does not interfere with the Captain’s Quarter you can unlock by finishing the Crimson Fleet questline, when not siding with SysDef.
I am open for suggestions and feedback! If you encounter any issues, please create a bug report on this page.
You can install this just fine in the middle of a play through, even when you already did Crimson Fleet missions or their questline. Those mission board missions simply won’t count towards the ranks, the count only starts when the mod is installed!

Gameplay Options
A gameplay option is included, called ‘Crimson Fleet Ranks’, to allow you to change how many completed missions board missions are needed for each rank.
Below is a list of the values for each setting. The numbers go from rank 1 to rank 6, in that order.
Please note, if you change the setting to something lower, and you already did missions, you may skip a rank and don’t get any rewards. Change these settings beforehand!
Low: 3, 7, 13, 25, 35, 50
Normal: 5, 10, 20, 40, 65, 80
High: 10, 20, 40, 60, 90, 150
Installation
I recommend using a Mod Manager like MO2 or Vortex.
If you recently visited The Key, wait a day on Venus before returning!
If you install manually:
Download and unpack the file
Place DWN_CrimsonFleetRanks – Main.ba2 and DWN_CrimsonFleetRanks.esm into your Starfield/Data folder
Start the game, head to the Creations menu and activate the mod under Load Order
Compatibility
None of the mission board quests itself or the Crimson Fleet questline quests were edited for this.
Other mods that add stuff to where the new small player room is may cause conflicts.
A few global got edited to allow adjusted payments, as follows:
