Removes the bad duplicate Stroud-Ecklund Landing Gears geometry.
The vanilla Stroud-Ecklund Acculander Landing Gears has duplicate geometry for the thrusters. This geometry is:
Too big and sticks out underneath the ship.
Clips with itself.
Is 1-side and see through from the outside.
Isn’t flush and has gaps with the ship hull.
Has bad UVs.
This is possibly used for glowing effects during takeoff and landing, but these effects don’t appear to be there.
The extra geometry just has regular metal textures (with bad UVs).
This mod removes these shapes.
Affects landing and takeoff model, ship builder model, and landed model.
There might be an Assorted Mesh Fixes type mod in the future, but tools are limited right now, and this particular issue bothered me a lot.
Installation/Uninstallation/Update
Use a mod manager such as Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex.
Whenever. Doesn’t matter.
