Melee Weapons Revised

Buffs up all Melee weapons and places them into 2 categories, low damage/high crit, and high damage/low crit.

Melee weapons are severely under-powered in the base game. I went ahead and buffed them all up, and placed them into 2 categories based on how they should perform.

How did I come to the conclusion of how they perform you ask?

Well me and my buddy went into the garden with varying weapons which most closely resembled those in Starfield, such as woodcutter axes, kitchen knives and a samurai sword from the local second hand shop.

We then took turns hitting and stabbing each other with these weapons and rating the pain from 0/10.

Once we left the hospital I hopped on to make this mod.

HOW ARE THE MELEE WEAPONS BALANCED?

– All ‘knife type” weapons such as the Barrow knife and Painblade have been placed in the Low Damage/High Crit category. Which means these do MUCH more sneak attack damage.

– Heavier and bigger melee weapons (Rescue axe, Cutlass) are placed in the ‘Brawler Type’ category, these do a higher base damage but lower critical.

What this means is that you can use something else besides the Painblade.

the ONLY weapon I nerfed was the painblade. ALL other melee weapons are buffed, especially the early game ones.

As always, my method means that all melee weapons are viable regardless of your level.

There are no extra tiers at this time, although I do plan to add them. But the weapons perform nicely now either way.

Requirements:
Starfield Script Extender (SFSE)
Plugins Text Enabler
1. Install SFSE as stated on it’s mod page.
2. Install Plugins Text Enabler as stated on it’s mod page.
3. Install this mod into your Starfield data folder. So “\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield/Data” <-- It goes in this folder! 4. open your plugins.txt folder and add *MeleeWeaponsRevised.esm to the list, there is a more in-depth explanation on the mod page should you need it! 5. Launch Starfield through SFSE_Loader and enjoy!
