🌟 Legendary Modules — What the heck are these things?

🧰 Special items found in boss chests and hidden containers.
🔩 Can be extracted from existing legendary weapons (because recycling is cool).
🎖️ Come in three ranks: Rank-I, Rank-II, and Rank-III. Yeah, I know, genius naming system.
⚙️ Required for installing legendary effects using the Legend ‘O’ Matic.

🧠 Legend ‘O’ Matic — What in the galaxy is this thing!?

💡 How it works:

Runs on Positron Batteries. What did you expect? Everything runs on batteries now!
Crafting legendary properties requires legendary modules. Such a valuable samovar won’t work for free.
Can infuse your Spacesuit, Helmet, Boostpack and Weapons with legendary properties.
Can purify items — removing all legendary traits and making them “clean” again.
Can extract modules from legendary gear… but at the cost of destroying the item. Ouch.

Where to find or craft it:

This beauty doesn’t come cheap — you’ll need to complete a series of research projects at the Science Station under the OUTPOST → Legend ‘O’ Matic category. Once done, the machine and its legendary effects become craftable and fully functional.
For those who are impatient – there is a cheat option in the Gameplay Menu. Which unlocks everything from the start.

How to use it (a.k.a. “Press buttons, regret later”):

In the machine’s menu, you’ll see several buttons…one of them doesn’t concern you, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF IT!…well, I can’t suppress your curiosity, sooo…

You’ve seen that children’s game where a person tries to fit a square into a triangle, right? I hope you find the right hole! This list includes all affected vanilla legendary effects. Most effects received minor improvements, while others were completely reworked.
Additionally, some descriptions were updated to provide better understanding of how the effects work.

Anti-Ballistic

( NEW ) -20% incoming physical damage from ranged weapons.

Beast Hunter

( NEW ) -20% damage from Alien enemies.

Crippling

( NEW ) Deals +30% damage on next attack after hitting the target’s limbs or head.
( OLD ) Deals +30% damage on the next attack after hitting a target’s limbs.

Handloading

( NEW ) Shots randomly deal up to +35% damage, with a 10% chance to deal half the total damage.
( OLD ) Volatile rounds that are designed to pack a bigger punch, but aren’t as stable and can fail on occasion.

Hitman

( NEW ) +20% damage while aiming.
( OLD ) +15% damage while aiming.

Lacerate

( NEW ) 10% chance to apply a Bleeding effect to the target for 10 seconds.
( OLD ) Randomly applies a bleed effect to the target.

Med-Theft

( NEW ) 25% Chance that humans drop extra Med Pack, 15% chance Trauma Pack and 5% chance Emergency Kit on death.
( OLD ) Chance that humans drop extra Med Packs on death.

Poison

( NEW ) 10% chance to deal poison damage and slow target for 10 seconds.
( OLD ) Randomly deals poison damage and slows the target.

Radioactive

( NEW ) 10% chance to deal Radioactive damage over 10 seconds. Under radioactive effects target becomes 35% more vulnerable.
( OLD ) Randomly deals radioactive damage and demoralizes the target.

Rapid

( NEW ) +30% increase in attack speed, +10% Reload Speed
( OLD ) +25% increase in attack speed.

Staggering

( NEW ) 35% chance to stagger enemies while using melee, 5% chance automatic and 25% chance non-automatic weapons.
( OLD ) Small chance to stagger enemies.

Concussive

( NEW ) 35% chance to knock down targets while using melee, 5% chance automatic and 25% chance non-automatic weapons.

Demoralizing

( NEW ) 15% Chance to demoralize the target for 15 seconds.

Elemental

( NEW ) 5% chance to randomly deal Corrosive, Radiation, Poison, and Incendiary damage for 10 seconds.

Explosive

( NEW ) 30% chance to switch to explosive cluster rounds with each shot.

Frenzy

( NEW ) 10% Chance to frenzy a target for 15 seconds.

Shattering

( NEW ) Break through even the strongest armor. +15% damage, -50% target resistance.

Skip-Shot

( NEW ) Every third shot fires two projectiles at once.

Tesla

( NEW ) 15% chance for projectiles to emit electricity where they land. Deals damage and slows nearby targets for 4 seconds.
( OLD ) Rounds will sometimes emit electricity where they land that damages and slows nearby targets.

Titanium Build

( NEW ) Premium materials make this weapon very valuable and light as a feather, increasing the rate of fire, aiming speed and reload speed.
( OLD ) Premium build materials make this weapon light as a feather.

BRAND NEW FROM THE OVEN:
In this list, you’ll see a whole variety of new Legendary effects, from the simple to the downright crazy. Many of them will seem familiar to you, and that’s true.
Some of the Legendary effects I’ve carried over and adapted from previous Bethesda games, like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Others are brand new and were created from scratch specifically for Starfield.

RANK-1

Armor

Credit Shield : Increases DMG, EM and ENRG resistances, the higher your credits. Up to 40%.
Elusive: While sprinting in combat there is a 50% chance to fully avoid any damage and stagger.
Environmental: Environmental damage becomes weaker by 30%.
Inconspicuous: 20% more difficult to detect when sneaking and have 10% better chances at pickpocketing.
Mercenary: +15% damage to all melee and ranged arsenal.
Phantom: 10% Chance to fully avoid any damage and stagger in all situations.
Lightweight: Spacesuit, boostpack and helmet weigh 90% less when worn.
Ammobox: Ammo weights reduced by 35%.
Bomber: +25% damage and radius to all explosive arsenal.
Pack Rat: Junk item weights reduced by 35%.
Thru-Hiker: Food, drink, and chem weights reduced by 35%.

Weapon

Swashbuckling: Human enemies drop more credits.
Lawful: +25% damage to Crimson Fleet, Spacer and Va’ruun enemies.
Charged: 15% chance to electrocute and stagger the targets in 8 meters radius.
Deadeye: Time slows down for a moment while aiming. Has a slight cooldown after each trigger.
Defiant: The final shot in the magazine deals trice the normal damage.
Executional: +50% more damage when your target is below 40% health.
Hobgoblin: +15% damage and double critical damage while being in interior.
Ka-Ching!: Head shots with 15% chance gain you small amount of credits.
Planet-Lover: +30% damage while on a planet and -15% damage while in space.

RANK-2

Armor

Adapted: Slowly cures from environmental damage.
Ghost: For 10 seconds makes you totally immortal in the beginning of combat.
Inversable Might: The more environmental damage you get, the more powerful melee attacks become. Up to 200%.
Juggernaut: By sprinting for 3s, you accumulate power that knocks hostile targets down on impact. Uses 20 oxygen per hit.
Pharmaceutical: Med Packs, Trauma Packs, and Emergency Kits restore 25% additional Health 15% faster.
Spacer’s Choice: All types of Chems have 25% increased effects and duration.
Crypto Farm: Every realtime hour, randomly generates from 2500 to 15000 credits.
Hellrunner: While sprinting in combat, you leave flaming trails which set everyone on fire.
Venomous: Poisons nearby hostile targets while sneaking, but slowly hits you with environmental damage.

Weapon

Agile: Increases movement speed while aiming by 75%.
Freeloader: There is a 10% chance to gain ammo when firing the last round in your clip.
Inertial: Replenishes +20 Oxygen, Removes -20 CO2 with each kill.
Final Kiss: The final shot in the magazine attaches powerfull mini bomb.
Fortune Shot: Each shot with 15% chance can gain you small amount of credits.
Relentless: Fully refills Oxygen on a critical hit.
Unlucky Trio: +15% damage against Humans, Aliens and Robots.

RANK-3

Armor

Assassin: Increases sneak damage by x0.5 with suppressed and by x1.5 melee weapons.
Cryogenic: 15% chance to freeze nearby attackers for 5 seconds while being hit.
Empowered: +50% passive power recovery rate. Quantum essences effectiveness increased by 25%.
Fantastic Four: +10 Airborne, +10 Corrosive, +10 Radiation, +10 Thermal Resistance.
Farewell Wound: Getting critically hit creates a stealth field, making all targets loose you in sight for 30 seconds. Cooldown 120 seconds.
Electrician: 15% chance to shock and slowdown nearby attackers for 5 seconds while being hit.
Dream Team: -20% Inc. DMG, +25% Max HP, +10% Move. Speed while venturing with companion.
Masterclass: Your ship handling skills are best in class. Increases ship turning rate and maneuverability.
Mindful: +20% Experience Gain.

Weapon

Domino: All hostiles around 8 meters of the killed target also die.
High League: Critical hits knock down the target with such force that it flies away leaving a trail of fire behind.
Lucky: Critical Hits do triple damage and accumulate 20% quicker.
Shockloader: While in combat reloading or blocking, emit a shock wave that stuns nearby targets for 3 seconds.
Timed Death: Every 10 minutes you can Instantly kill a hostile target.
Unworldly: +50% damage to Staborn enemies.
Vampiric: Restore 3% health over 2 seconds when you hit a target.
Bloodbank: 5% chance to steal 15% of target’s current health on each hit.

Notes:

(!) Peacemaker unlocks after completing “Peacemaker” Misc quest. Only available at Legend ‘O’ Matic.
(!) Empowered unlocks after completing “Into The Unknown” main quest. Only available at Legend ‘O’ Matic.

🚪 Load Order & Compatibility🚫

Compatibility
(!) Not compatible with mods that touch legendary system and it’s effects in any way without a proper patch. Nothing will break, it just will not work as designed.

Load order
(!) I suggest to put Legend ‘O’ Matic as low as possible so it would take full priority.
