Immersive Loading Screens V2.0

Immersive Loading Screens

Replace all loading screens and spinner with pure black, removing unrelated images and tips. Every ship landing or loading sequence now feels like a seamless cinematic transition, preserving the game’s immersion.

Bethesda games have always been a love-hate experience for me. From The Elder Scrolls to Fallout, these series are undeniably some of my favorites. However, maintaining immersion in their worlds can be challenging, especially during loading.

Bethesda’s approach to scene transitions often breaks that immersion. I don’t want to be forced to stare at irrelevant 3D models or text while performing important missions. That’s why I created this simple mod for Starfield,to keep the experience as immersive as possible, turning loading screens into seamless scene transitions.

Features:
Completely black out loading screens and progress bars
Remove unnecessary tips and background images
immersive transition effect
Reduce visual distractions and maintain immersion
Ideal for players who enjoy a fully immersive experience
Preserve all original game functionality, with no additional changes

Installation:
1. Download the mod files.

2. Copy the contents of the mod into your Starfield installation folder:
Starfield\Data\Interface
3. Launch the game and enjoy immersive loading screens.

Make sure you have:

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1
sResourceDataDirsFinal =

In your StarfieldCustom.ini

Compatibility

Fully compatible with other UI enhancement or pause menu mods, as long as they do not modify loadingmenu.swf at the same time.
Incompatible with Starfield Engine Fixes’s White Screen After Grav Jump, you will get a black loading screen.

Notes:
This mod Only replaces loading screens and the loading spinner. No other files are modified.
This mod does not change loading times. Loading speed depends on your SSD, and the number of mods you have installed may also affect load times.

Changelog:

Version 2.0
This update no longer replaces the vanilla black loading screen with a static image.
Instead, it completely removes the loading screen texture reference, allowing the game to render the world directly during load transitions.
All background and progress bar assets have been removed from the .swf.
No longer depends on any PNG overlays, and is no longer constrained by screen resolution or aspect ratio.
Minimizes transition delay and eliminates unnecessary UI rendering during load.
Reworks the ActionScript logic of the loading menu for maximum performance and the cleanest possible behavior.
Now only the essential ActionScript remains , a fully streamlined build only 13KB.
The lightest and fastest version yet , and possibly the final update.

Version 1.2
Modified ActionScript logic; removed unnecessary UI bindings and events.

Version 1.1
Optimize the script by removing unnecessary calculations and events, reducing event dispatches and timer operations, reducing CPU computations, and avoiding unnecessary event callbacks.
