RED MILE TERROR

“Why does she let them…”

The Red Mile Crater was man-made, from an orbital strike. Nobody remembers why.

Features:

This mod adds various enemies to the RED MILE RUN crater.

Offers a progressively intense experience and growing rewards as you cumulate runs.

– Lon Anderson the mechanic can provide any ship part for the right price.
- Ecliptic will not insult you every time you pass by and just talk about their job or the runs occasionally.

Red Mile Terror – Fun
Challenging but quite survivable and rewarding difficulty
(Half damage, half resistances)
(They are Terrormorphs, come prepared)

Red Mile Terror – Hardcore
Very challenging, recommended full experience.
(Full damage, risk management, epic fights)

Red Mile Terror – Insane
Extreme difficulty, fully UNLEVELED* gameplay.
(Mistakes mean death. Run, breathe, survive)

Optional module:
Red Mile Terror for Ascension
Tuned for Ascension – Gameplay Overhaul ( ~100hp unleveled* gameplay, high powered weapons )

Notes:
All modules are calibrated around Normal vanilla difficulty parameters and first playthrough armor sets.

>This means that if you have set your global difficulty to Extreme, the Hardcore module may be unbalanced and too tough to survive.

– In that case, you can either spend a second to crank down the difficulty slider right before your runs,
or you can use the fun module if you don’t mind enemies being too frail.

– Each module gives the same rewards while providing different challenges to fit your playstyle.
No trade-off, just play it how you like it.

– The video preview will give you an idea of the intended damage from a Terror hit of your level in Hardcore.
(~25-50% of your HP depending on your perks & gear)

* Unleveled gameplay = Your lvl 50 character may meet a lvl 14 youngster and have fun dancing with it,
but a lvl 133 behemoth may then emerge from behind and cut you in half.

Advice
– You can start using the mod from any point of a playthrough.

– Difficulty grows and new enemies appear depending on your run count.

– Using the mod from your very first Red Mile Run offers a learning curve and a decent version of the Brute Force shotgun.

– Any challenge can be overcome in a first vanilla playthrough (rewarded gear and loot may help).

– Pick your fights. A superior level Terror may one-crit your face. The bigger the deadlier.
Ancient Terrors will either kill you or make you rich. Get out of sight asap until your level and gear allow you to face them.

– Even if you like extreme challenges, try the Hardcore module before the Insane module :
Unleveled gameplay means being potentially one-shouted at your first mistake, it could just be frustrating for a first experience of the mod.

– Terrormorphs are tough, smart, faster than you, stronger than you.
They will flank you, bait you, ambush you.
Keep moving, always watch your back, bash, fly, reload, stay alive.

Install / Uninstall:
Use a mod manager.
If you don’t have one, put the files directly into your game Data folder. Just delete them from the folder to uninstall.

Enable / disable at will.
You can Disable / switch difficulty module at will if you are not in the middle of a Red Mile Run.(i.e. before starting the quest by talking to Mei Devine). Uninstalling the mod will remove the mod’s rewarded weapons from your inventory, with no more consequences.

Compatibility:
All Terrormorphs of this mod will only spawn in the Red Mile Crater. They are standalone. This means that any other mod altering Terrormorphs will be compatible and should not impact the balance of this mod. This also means that Terrormorphs won’t spit fire anywhere outside the red mile crater. (No conflicts with Royal Terror, Terrifiying Terrormorphs…etc).

This mod only modifies what it says, any Red Mile customization mods like Red Mile Blackjack Table will be compatible.

Load order shouldn’t matter.

Updates : It should not be affected by game updates. (So please just try it before asking)
